Description

Introduced on 7 November 1996, the fifth generation Prelude retained an FF layout with an independent front suspension and 63/37 weight distribution. The fifth generation Prelude marked a return to the more square bodystyle of the third generation, in an attempt to curb slumping sales of the fourth generation bodystyle.

ECU Hardware

This car model is equipped with the following ECUs:

• 96-01 Models: Denshigiken M66509 based ECUs

Chip Tuning

Programming and Datalogging with the SNAKE OBD1 EMU Device.

One of the following OBD1 ECU must be swapped in a car (OBD2A-OBD1 conversion harness required):

• Denshigiken M66207 based ECUs.
• OKI M66207 based ECUs.

Then you must install SNAKE OBD1 EMU in a swapped ECU (see Installation Guide).
